If so, we would love for you to join Iona Senior Services as an Activities and Outreach Manager for our congregate dining sites located in Wards 2 & 3! Monday -Friday, 40 hrs./Week.
SUMMARY:
The Activities and Outreach Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing outreach programs and site activities that foster community engagement and participant involvement. This role strengthens partnerships with community organizations, enhances program visibility, and ensures the success of outreach initiatives. The Manager provides direct supervision to Recreation Coordinators across multiple dining sites and works closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to expand program reach, adapt to community needs, and align activities with organizational goals
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outreach Programs
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote programs and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and partners.
• Plan and coordinate outreach events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Track and report outreach activities, including participation metrics and feedback.
Community Engagement
• Engage directly with community members to understand their needs and interests.
• Monitor community trends and emerging needs to inform and adapt outreach and activities.
• Collaborate with local leaders and organizations to expand program reach and effectiveness.
Activities Coordination
• Plan, organize, and oversee community activities such as events, fairs, and special programs.
• Create calendars for congregate dining sites with support from Recreation Coordinator.
• Ensure activities are delivered effectively and align with organizational objectives.
• Coordinate logistics including venues, materials, staffing, and scheduling.
• Monitor and evaluate activity success, making adjustments as needed.
Administrative Duties
• Maintain accurate records of outreach and activities, including attendance and participant feedback.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing program outcomes.
• Provide administrative support to department operations as needed.
Collaboration and Support
• Partner with senior management to ensure outreach and activities align with grant objectives.
• Conduct Outreach throughout both Wards 2 and 3
• Support and coordinate with staff and volunteers engaged in outreach and activities.
Dining Site Supervision and Coverage
• Provide support to dining site operations in partnership with Nutrition Program Manager.
• Ensure consistent representation and effective program delivery at assigned sites.
• Assist with meal service as needed, including setup, distribution, and cleanup.
• Oversee completion of documentation related to meal delivery, including orders, inventory, and reporting.
• Address participant needs and respond to issues in real time to maintain safe and welcoming site environments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with social media platforms.
• 2+ years of related work experience
• Strong relationship building and collaboration skills.
• Ability to complete or renew annual CPR, first aid and ServSafe certificates.
• Able to regularly lift, carry and maneuver 25+ lbs.
