Senior Security Presales Engineer
About this role
What you'll be doing:
This is a collaborative, customer-facing role focused on working alongside sales teams to develop opportunities, shape solutions, and drive growth across our cyber security portfolio. The role is centred on building trust with customers, understanding their challenges, and helping them navigate complex security decisions with clarity and confidence.
As a Senior Security Presales Engineer, you'll engage early in conversations, helping to define customer requirements and translate them into practical, achievable solutions. The emphasis is on being approachable, credible, and able to simplify complex ideas, rather than acting purely as a deep technical specialist in one area.
You'll design end-to-end cyber security solutions across multiple domains, such as managed detection and response, security operations, identity, cloud, and endpoint protection. The focus is on creating solutions that are practical, deliverable, and tailored, rather than overly complex or theoretical. You will work across technologies and vendors to arrive at the best outcome for each customer.
We want to hear from you if you:
- Enjoy working with people, solving problems, and being part of a team. You may come from a pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing technical role, and you will bring a broad understanding of cyber security rather than a narrow specialism.
- Are comfortable engaging with different types of stakeholders and able to communicate in a clear and relatable way. Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are just as important as existing technical knowledge. You will also have an appreciation of the commercial side of the role and how your contribution helps drive business success.
- Have experience with platforms such as Microsoft Security, cloud environments like Azure or AWS, or services such as SIEM, XDR and MDR can be helpful, but is not essential. We value a range of career paths and recognise that relevant skills can be developed in different ways.
