Organizational Context and Scope
The IOM Coordination Office for the North Pacific oversees regional operations and strategic initiatives across the North Pacific Islands, focusing on disaster resilience, infrastructure development, and humanitarian assistance. IOM is set to receive funding for a multi-year disaster readiness project named Compact of Free Association READY (COFA READY), covering the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), and Republic of Palau (ROP). The project covers two components: Component 1: Typhoon Sinlaku Reconstruction and Component 2: Disaster Readiness in ROP, FSM and RMI. IOM is therefore seeking to recruit a Programme Officer to support the Programme Manager (READY) in the day-to-day implementation of Component 2 in RMI.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Pohnpei and the direct supervision of the Head of Sub Officer in RMI, the Programme Officer (READY) will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the COFA READY Component 2 initiatives across RMI.
