Organizational Context and Scope

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), Coordination Office for the North Pacific, and the direct supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO), Marshall Islands, and in close coordination with the Programme Manager for the Pacific Climate Mobility Partnerships (PCMP) Programme based in Suva, Fiji, and relevant Units at Headquarters (HQ), the Associate Project Officer (Gender and Climate Mobity) will be responsible and accountable for supporting all aspects of projects, programmes, and strategy related to Gender and Inclusion across project activities, including contributing to implementation planning, coordinating activities, supporting the review of project outputs, and assisting with reporting. 

The position will also support the implementation of the PCMP, a regional programme led by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and delivered in partnership with regional organizations, governments, civil society, and technical agencies to advance rights-based, people-centred climate mobility action across the Pacific, as well as other climate mobility-related programmes. The Programme is managed from the IOM South Pacific Office in Suva, supporting operations across the Pacific, including the IOM Coordination Office for the North Pacific and IOM Papua New Guinea.
