Title: Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Supervisor
Immediate Supervisor: Operations Manager
Status: Exempt Salaried
Position Purpose: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accurate control, storage, and movement of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods to support uninterrupted production operations. This role oversees inventory management processes, coordinates internal and third-party warehousing activities, maintains material availability for production schedules, and collaborates with planning, scheduling, and shipping functions to optimize inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and supply chain performance.
Principle Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Inventory Control
• Work with the Master Scheduler and Supply Planner to plan raw material needs for production
• Determine and maintain physical locations for all raw materials and WIP in an organized and efficient manner
• Manage cycle count operations throughout the year of all inventory including those stored at third party warehouses
• Verify all material needed for production schedule is in-house prior to production
Warehouse Management
• Manage third party warehouse relationships and communications
• Plan and schedule material movement of third party warehousing
Production Support
• Support and backup Master Scheduler as needed
• Support and work with shipping coordinator as needed
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor
Essential Skills and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required, BS/BA in supply chain management or relevant field preferred
• Proven experience as logistics coordinator, with in-house fleet in manufacturing industry preferred
• Experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations is a plus
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes required
• MS Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software preferred
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
