About the IB

The International Baccalaureate provides world-class educational services to over 6,000 schools across 160 countries. A career with the IB is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to work with an innovative world leader in education services where we empower our employees to thrive and make a difference.

About the job

The Portfolio Manager provides strategic and enterprise‑level leadership to support the IB's Authorization Redesign project as part of the Professional Development team. The authorization Redesign project aims to modernize and transform the IB’s authorization experience. The Portfolio Manager will serve as the Professional Development workstream lead. The role ensures all PL (Professional Learning) elements—supporting candidate schools, educators, school leaders, and IBEN—are aligned with the redesigned authorization model and delivered across IB’s core languages.

The Portfolio Manager will lead the Professional Development Workstream within the Authorization Redesign initiative by driving the design, development, translation, and delivery of PL experiences that prepare schools, educators, and IBEN for the new authorization process. The Manager is responsible for ensuring alignment between PL solutions, strategic objectives, policy frameworks, and system requirements.

The Portfolio Manager influences organizational readiness for the redesigned authorization experience by shaping and overseeing the PL portfolio requirements connected to the initiative. It collaborates across multiple departments and contributes input to budgeting, resource planning, and translation needs for PL products across languages.
