About the team you are joining

IATA Corporate services (CS) encompass Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Global Finance Operations, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement activities.

What your day would be like

The Senior Manager Corporate Banking is an experienced banking specialist within Corporate Treasury, responsible for supporting and implementing IATA’s global banking framework. The role provides guidance to IATA settlement‑related and commercial product Banking services (P&S), ensures robust governance, internal policies and regulatory compliance, and drives efficiency, and scalability across all banking operations. Acting as a trusted adviser to internal stakeholders, and external banks to support business growth, risk management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Governance Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support for ISS banking services activities in accordance with established Treasury policies, standards and procedures. Negotiate and manage credit and banking services agreements, covering: Commercial terms, Operational requirements (SLAs), banks accounts maintenance and legal documentation in coordination with Legal, Compliance and Tax
  •  Ensure all banking activities comply with IATA banking policies, FPM, tax requirements, AML, sanctions, and regulatory requirements. 
  •  Build and maintain expertise in regional and country‑specific banking regulations.
  •  Monitor banking, regulatory and settlement developments and provide recommendations to Treasury management regarding potential impacts.

Banking Operations & Controls

  • Coordinate and provide support to ISS regional banking teams based in Madrid, Singapore, China, and the Americas
  •    Support the implementation and maintenance of IATA’s global banking framework, including Banking policies, standards, and SOPs .
  • Oversee the opening and closing of bank accounts, the setup of e‑banking platforms, including banking signatories (Banking certification), verification of all mandates, forms, documents received from the ISS banking team, preparing for signature, shipping all documentations.
  • Maintain and coordinate approval of updates to various IATA database such as: IATA bank account, Credit facilities and bank guarantees, E‑banking access and user controls, including signatories, Bank contacts directory and counterparty information/exposure, Sanction funds.
  • Produce and validate key management reporting, including banking scorecards, briefing notes, and sanctioned funds tracking, in coordination with Legal and Compliance.
  • Act as the central point for answering/contact to all KYC/AML/Compliance questions and providing the necessary documents. Liaising with Compliance, Legal and Corporate Secretary to answer banks' KYC and Compliance questions.
  • Support Business with Bank guarantee or insurance bond issuance and documentation. Negotiate wording with Banks.
  •    Provide support to external and internal Audit team whenever it is required, including annual bank balances confirmations with banks  
  •   Act as owner of the Corporate Treasury web presence, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Business Enablement & Advisory

  • Provide specialist banking support and recommendations to business and P&S on banking services of new products, services, and commercial initiatives based on IATA SOPs and FPM’s.
  • Serve as a specialist resource for international payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, and local clearing mechanisms).

Reporting & Data Management

  • Produce and control monthly and ad‑hoc banking reports, including Banking scorecards (counterparty exposure), Sanctioned funds database workflows (in coordination with Legal and Compliance), Banking briefing notes and management reports. Bank meeting minutes. 

Contract Negotiation & Control

  • Support and participate in negotiations for banking contracts where necessary in line with IATA standards, including loan agreements, overdraft facilities (limits, pricing, and terms), provide guidance and support to ISS banking team and P&S documentation.  
  •   Coordinate and provide input into banking RFPs, assess bank proposals, and conduct SLA reviews together with financial services regional banking team (ISS banking) and Corporate Treasury.
  •   Ensure all contractual terms meet IATA’s commercial, operational, and legal standards.

Process Improvement & Digital Enablement

  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives, standardization efforts, and automation projects within the banking services area.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IATA’s Global banks.
  • Contribute to improving efficiency, transparency, and resilience in banking process and activities



    We would love to hear from you if you have

    • Graduate degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field.
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in international bank and/or large corporates at banking environments

    Extensive experience in:

    • Corporate banking operations, bank accounts management and counterparty exposure assessment.
    • International cash management, settlement systems, banking contracts and credit facilities
    • Regulatory compliance and controls - Banking KYC in multinational banks or corporates.
    • Proven track record in leading complex, cross‑border banking projects and RFPs
    • Strong knowledge of global payment and settlement systems, including SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, and country‑specific clearing systems.
    • Solid understanding of international banking products, settlement workflows, and regulatory Banking requirements.
    • Proven ability to manage and contribute to large-scale corporate banking projects and process improvement initiatives.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills (written and oral).
    • Ability to balance risk, control, efficiency, and business needs
    • Highly organized, attention to details, capable of managing complex workflows and challenge as is status
    • Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to work independently; coaching and delivery‑oriented attitude.
    • Fluent in English with a working knowledge of French.
    • Proficiency in: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, Treasury Management Systems (TMS), KYC platforms and banking portals.
