Description
Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes products within the warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens crates and other containers.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with warehouse leader and office teams.
- Crosstrain in all facets of the warehouse and potentially other departments.
- Complete general housekeeping duties to maintain a continuously safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Education: High school education.
- Forklift Certification
- Attention to detail
- Forklift operation
Work Environment:
- Employee must lift up to 50 lbs., moderate noise level and temperature, requires good vision and hearing.
