Insurity’s Next Senior Business Analyst 

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, translating complex problems into clear, testable, traceable requirements, solution options, and delivery-ready backlog items for engineering teams. This role is well suited for a senior, analytically strong professional who understands both technology and business context and can help shape product improvements without needing to be a day-to-day hands-on coder. The ideal candidate brings progressive experience with AI tooling, a self-starter mindset, and a strong interest in improving how analysis work is performed, validated, traced, and delivered.

What Our Senior Business Analyst Will Do 

Perform responsibility expectations independently and capable of providing Leadership across team:

  • Develop, analyze, and document requirements, including business, functional and non-functional for increasingly complex efforts
  • Develop customer-focused documentation for software solutions (e.g. Wireframes, Use Cases, business rules, etc.)
  • Perform and support testing and/or training efforts
  • Perform and coordinate the estimation of work
  • Participate in system design and configuration activities
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert
  • Provide mentorship to team members
  • Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Who We’re Looking For 

  • 3+ years industry experience
  • 5-8 years’ business analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • P&C insurance domain expertise, with knowledge of underwriting, policy, claims, billing, rating, forms, or related workflows
  • Proven ability to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, system, integration, data, and non-functional requirements
  • Strong experience translating complex business needs into user stories, process flows, business rules, use cases, solution recommendations, and clear, testable acceptance criteria
  • Working knowledge of APIs, JSON, data models, integration patterns, event-driven workflows, reporting, and software quality attributes
  • Ability to identify ambiguity, missing scenarios, conflicting requirements, dependencies, process gaps, and downstream impacts before implementation
  • Experience facilitating discovery sessions, requirements workshops, process reviews, solution discussions, and stakeholder meetings
  • Strong documentation and traceability skills across requirements, workflows, data mappings, interface specifications, decision logs, and impact analysis
  • Experience partnering with product, engineering, architecture, UX, QA, and DevOps teams throughout agile delivery, including backlog refinement, UAT, release planning, production validation, and post-release assessment
  • Understanding of automated testing, DevOps practices, defect analysis, release readiness, KPIs, operational measures, and post-release success criteria
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, requirements development, quality review, traceability, and impact analysis, with human validation and source grounding
  • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, problem-solving, consultative, written, verbal, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver with ownership and follow-through
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams, including planned working-time overlap with North American stakeholders
  • Experience supporting enterprise software, integration, modernization, platform, or regulated-industry initiatives; familiarity with requirements-management, modeling, workflow, and traceability tools is preferred
  • Related insurance certification(s)  
    • Nice to have: CPCU
    • Nice to have: CBAP
    • Nice to have: LOB specific certification
    • ACE (ACORD Certified Expert)
    • AIDM (Associate Insurance Data Manager)
