Our products marketed in the U.S. include:

  • GIAPREZA® (angiotensin II) is a vasoconstrictor to increase blood pressure in adults with septic or other distributive shock.
  • XACDURO® (sulbactam for injection; durlobactam for injection) is a new treatment designed specifically to treat hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia (HABP) and ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (VABP) caused by susceptible strains of bacteria called Acinetobacter baumannii-calcoaceticus complex in adults.
  • XERAVA® (eravacycline) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat patients with complicated intra-abdominal infections (cIAI).
  • ZEVTERA® (ceftobiprole) is a newly approved advanced-generation cephalosporin antibiotic and the only FDA-approved cephalosporin specifically designed to treat adult patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections (bacteremia) including those with right-sided infective endocarditis. In addition, Zevtera is approved in adult patients with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI), and adult and pediatric patients (3 months to less than 18 years old) with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP). 
  • Nuzolvence® (zoliflodacin) for oral suspension is a first-in-class, single-dose oral antibiotic for the treatment of uncomplicated urogenital gonorrhea in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older weighing at least 35 kg.

Summary of Position:

The Director, Systems Architecture, Planning & Security is responsible for designing, securing, and evolving the enterprise IT systems, data platforms, integrations, and technology roadmap that support Innoviva and its subsidiaries, including Innoviva Specialty Therapeutics. This role will define and advance the long-term technology roadmap, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, secure, well-governed, and aligned with business objectives. The Director is also responsible for embedding security, and compliance into system architecture from the outset.

Responsibilities:

Systems & Technology Planning

  • System Design & Roadmap: Defines standards and best practices for the entire technology stack to ensure consistency, scalability, and security.
  • Solution Evaluation: Researches, evaluates, and recommends new technologies, software, and hardware to improve organizational efficiency, security, and performance.

Data & Systems Integration Management

  • Data Warehouse Oversight: Provides architectural guidance for the development, configuration, and administration of the company’s data warehouse, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. Manages data schemas and access controls to maintain data integrity.
  • Systems Integration: Manages integrations across internal and external systems and data sources using iPaaS or related tools. Ensures seamless data flow between applications to maintain consistency and operational efficiency.
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Management: Oversees the design and maintenance of data pipelines used to move, transform, and prepare data from source systems into the data warehouse for analysis.
  • BI Reporting Oversight: Ensures BI reporting is supported by accurate, timely, secure, and well-structured data.

AI/ML Strategy & Governance

  • AI/ML Roadmap & Governance: Develops and governs responsible AI/ML adoption, including roadmap planning, data governance, security, user enablement, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Training and Skill Development: Defines training and enablement approaches to help employees use and manage AI technologies responsibly, including ethical guidelines, technical proficiency, and workflow integration.

Security & Compliance

  • Security Architecture & Data Protection: Designs security into systems from the ground up, implementing controls, policies, and data protection protocols to safeguard infrastructure and company data throughout its lifecycle.
  • Risk & Vulnerability Management: Identifies and mitigates architectural risks and technical debt, ensuring that new solutions do not introduce security vulnerabilities into the environment.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications are preferred, such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, Snowflake SnowPro, CISSP, CISM, CDMP, or equivalent.
  • 10 plus years of progressive experience in IT, with a significant portion of that time spent in a senior technical or architectural role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise IT systems and executing technology roadmaps.
  • Direct experience with data warehouse technologies, ETL/ELT pipelines, and iPaaS tools (e.g., Power Automate, Celigo, or similar).
  • 3 plus years of hands-on experience with Snowflake including data modeling, performance optimization, security, workload management, and data sharing.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
  • Strong background in information security, including security architecture, risk management, vulnerability assessment, and security-by-design principles.
  • Experience leading and managing complex technical projects, particularly those involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
