We are looking for a Product Portfolio Manager with focus on Emerging Markets (m/f/d) to join our team at Innomotics.

As a Product Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for the strategic composition, management, and optimization of the responded portfolios. The primary task is to agree and profitably invest the allocated budgets for innovation (R&D, maintenance) while strictly adhering to stakeholder’s portfolio necessities to achieve the business goals set in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

 

Your Future Role

  • Investment Strategy: Define short-term (1 year) and mid-term (3 to 5 years) portfolio investment plans to achieve the business goals set in the AOP.
  • Innovation: Manage the yearly R&D activities (including maintenance, design to cost, engineering optimization) according to the portfolio investment plan.
  • Budget: Agree and manage the yearly R&D budget across the responded portfolio (e.g., STATCOM, grid to grid, ship to shore applications).
  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor global markets, economic trends, and political events.
  • Portfolio Rebalancing: Regularly adjust and reallocate innovation investments in response to market changes.
  • Portfolio and Business Relations: Provide transparent performance reporting and generate new portfolio investment ideas to achieve the business goals set in the AOP.

 

Your Profile

  • You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics or a combination of a technical bachelor's degree and a business-focused master's degree (such as an MBA).
  • You have already several years of professional experience with a technology provider, system integrator or consultancy company in power solutions, system design or similar.
  • You quickly grasp macroeconomic relationships, build arguments and create a strategic plan.
  • You understand or are willing to learn about energy transition, grid compliance and power drive trains (like synchronous condensers).
  • You make rational decisions during volatile market phases and under significant time pressure.
  • You clearly and simply explain complex systems to stakeholders, fluently in English (preferably in German as well).
