Job Objective: 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities, ensuring efficient and effective operations. This role involves managing inventory, training and mentoring staff, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and ensuring adherence to all health and safety requirements. The Warehouse Supervisor will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and Shipping of products.

Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping and customer service in the warehouse.  Securing, maintaining, and taking ownership of warehouse storage location.

Oversee inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and minimise discrepancies.

Develop and implement safe warehouse procedures and maintain best practices to optimise productivity and minimise costs.

Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high levels of performance and adherence to safety protocols.

Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, service, supply chain, sales and accounts to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment

Manage and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise, including inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or customer complaints.

Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment, including proper storage of products and equipment maintenance.

Monitor and control expenses within the warehouse budget, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Internal:

Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, service, supply chain, sales and accounts.

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.

Participate in meetings and provide updates on warehouse activities and performance.

 

External:

Communicate effectively with external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.

Build effective relationships with courier and transport providers.

 

 

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Certificate III in Supply chain operations, Logistics or Warehousing.

Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (essential).

Medium rigid licence (preferred).

Proven experience in warehouse operations

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of warehouse personnel.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with inventory management software.

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements within a warehouse environment.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and customers
