Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Perform process development activities, including process parameter scouting, optimization, verification, and process freeze in Development Projects, to achieve project targets in terms of timeline, quality, cost competitiveness, and manufacturability.
- Lead or support technical handover and knowledge transfer activities to Operations.
- Prepare, maintain, and update relevant technical documentation, including Process Specifications, PFMEA, DFMEA, Master FMEA, OJTI, T32, and PDR.
- Support the build and evaluation of prototype units and development samples.
- Provide inputs for the creation and maintenance of related documentation and ensure content accuracy, including Process of Record, Assembly Design Rules, Process Roadmaps, Failure Catalogues, Control Plans, Maintenance Checklists, and Unit Process Roadmaps for development projects.
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, equipment, and materials within development projects.
- Lead technical task forces and complex problem-solving activities using statistical and analytical methodologies such as SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA, and DFMEA.
- Identify, develop, and implement new process technologies while enhancing process capability to meet evolving business requirements.
- Support the selection and definition of process technologies, materials, equipment, and tooling solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineers and project team members.
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the SMT, PCBA manufacturing industry, or other related industries.
- Strong hands-on experience and technical expertise in SMT processes, including screen printing, component placement, and reflow.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and reflow processes.
- Proficient in statistical data analysis, including Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Knowledge of fluid and thermo-mechanical simulation is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
