About this role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex Silicon and Solution development projects from concept through mass production. In this role, you will be responsible for driving cross-functional product development programs within a global semiconductor environment, ensuring successful delivery in terms of scope, schedule, quality, cost, and business objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses strong project management expertise, hands-on experience in mixed-signal ASIC development, and the ability to lead diverse international teams. You will proactively manage risks, resolve challenges, align stakeholders, and drive continuous improvements in manufacturing yield, quality, cost, and capacity while ensuring compliance with product development methodologies and organizational standards.
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
Manage Silicon and Solution development projects throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept, development, qualification, and mass production.
Lead complex product development projects with significant technical complexity, business impact, and organizational visibility.
Develop, monitor, and execute project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
Take full ownership of project outcomes by continuously tracking progress, resolving issues, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.
Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks.
Develop and implement mitigation plans, contingency strategies, and backup scenarios to minimize project impact.
- Anticipate and manage scope changes, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and drive improvements in manufacturing yield, product quality, cost efficiency, and production capacity.
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate diverse cross-functional and multi-site project teams across engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, and business functions.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders in a global environment and facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Negotiate priorities, resolve conflicts, and drive alignment among stakeholders to achieve common project objectives.
- Monitor project performance through regular reviews, reporting, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Support successful product industrialization and transition from development to manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with company product development methodologies, processes, quality standards, and applicable regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports, risk registers, and decision records.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management effectiveness and development processes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance within project teams.
- Support management reviews, project audits, and key stakeholder presentations as required.
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in the semiconductor, electronics, or related industry.
At least 4 years of experience leading projects and cross-functional project teams.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end product development projects from concept through mass production.
- Hands-on project management experience in mixed-signal ASIC development.
- Strong understanding of IC design processes and ASIC development flow.
- Knowledge of semiconductor product development, qualification, manufacturing, and production ramp-up processes.
- Experience working on complex, cross-functional, and interdisciplinary development projects.
- Formal project management certification or training such as PMP, PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Strong risk management, issue resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate trade-offs and drive alignment across diverse groups.
- Experience managing crisis situations, resolving conflicts, and navigating complex project challenges.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a global and matrix organizational structure.
- Strong intercultural awareness and experience collaborating with international teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and reporting practices.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including within Asia, Europe, and the United States, as required.
- Experience in automotive, industrial, power semiconductor, or mixed-signal product development environments is an added advantage.
- PMP, IPMA, Agile, or other recognized project management certifications are preferred.
