What You’ll Do
- The Regional Sales Manager – Industrial, must actively develop new business relating to customers, applications, distributors, and end user opportunities
- This is a field-intensive position covering an eight-state territory (e.g., TX, OK, AR, LA, MO, KS, NE, IA) which requires significant travel, face-to-face customer interaction, and regular time working alongside distributors, manufacturer representatives, and end users
- Develop end-user opportunities and then work with appropriate distribution partners to convert those opportunities into sustainable business
- Provide onsite presence at manufacturing plants, maintenance facilities, fabrication shops, and other industrial environments while working directly with the end users
- Ability to demonstrate tools, understand applications, discuss product features and benefits, and help customers identify the appropriate solution
- Establish the ability and desire to understand mechanical products, industrial applications, and how tools are applied in real-world industrial settings
- Capability to sell product performance, application suitability, productivity, reliability, service, and overall customer value
- Objectively evaluate distributor and representative performance, and be prepared to recommend changes when existing coverage is not producing acceptable results
- Utilize CRM (HubSpot) to consistently document deals, activities, contacts, next steps, and meaningful pipeline information
- Demonstrate considerable autonomy, and must be capable of determining where to spend time, which opportunities deserve attention, and how to maximize the return from travel and field activity
- Responsible for measurable development of opportunities, customers, and profitable sales
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of related industrial sales experience
- Sales leadership and/or management experience
- Strong business development background
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ as business needs dictate
- Mechanically inclined individuals
- HubSpot CRM experience preferred
- Previous pneumatic and/or power-tool experience preferred
