Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end fraud investigations across countries, ensuring timely closure
- Gather, preserve, and document digital and operational evidence in line with chain-of-custody best practices
- Conduct structured interviews (in-person or video) with whistleblowers, witnesses, and internal stakeholders Prepare clear, well-structured investigation reports and case summaries for internal stakeholders
- Identify control gaps or process weaknesses through investigations and recommend remediation actions
- Identify systemic fraud patterns and conduct root cause analysis on recurring case types, translating findings into actionable recommendation
- Monitor implementation of controls across business units
- Participate in cross-team collaboration and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of investigation procedures, templates, and methodologies — including responsible use of AI for efficiency
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification — mandatory.
- 7+ years of investigation experience, including independently managing investigations end to end, from intake through evidence collection, interviews, analysis, and formal reporting.
- Big 4 experience is preferred.
- Professional proficiency in Russian and English — mandatory.
- Strong skills in evidence handling and chain of custody, structured interviewing and statement-taking, OSINT, link analysis and relationship mapping.
- Experience with NUIX, Relativity, digital evidence handling, and data analytics.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to make sense of complex, incomplete, or contradictory information.
High standards of integrity, objectivity, discretion, and confidentiality. - Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive interviews and communicate difficult findings to senior stakeholders.
- Professional courage and attention to detail, with the ability to stand behind conclusions under pressure.
- A drive to go beyond individual investigations by identifying systemic fraud patterns, control gaps, and root causes, and turning findings into actionable improvements.
