Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location:
Gateway Plaza. Position requires onsite training and will transition to a remote work arrangement. Candidates must reside in Indiana.
Key Benchmarks
- 3 Months: Independently schedule appointments
- 6 Months: Manage pool messages
- 12 Months: Fully functional across all 10 elements of the role
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient flow from check-in through check-out
- Verify insurance coverage and update patient demographics
- Schedule patient appointments
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, referring offices, and the SPA team
- Obtain accurate financial and demographic information to support reimbursement and patient care
- Explain department and hospital policies, charges, and payment requirements
- Enter charges into applicable systems and collect payments as needed
- Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately

- Insurance verification and interpretation experience

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting.
- Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred.
- Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
