Radiology Room- Administrative Assistant

Weekday Schedule | Hybrid Eligible After Six Months

  • Hours: Mon - Fri, 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Benefits Eligible!

  • Coverage Requirements: Participation in holiday coverage

Hybrid Work Option

Eligibility for a hybrid work arrangement (one remote workday per week) may be available after six months in the role, contingent upon:

  • Successful completion of training

  • Demonstrated competency and performance

  • Operational and leadership approval

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Triage incoming calls and facilitate accurate, timely communication among radiologists, clinical staff, and support teams

  • Monitor and manage the Radiology task board to support workflow efficiency and prioritization

  • Provide operational support to radiologists, including assistance with reports, imaging workflows, and basic ITrelated issues

  • Maintain reading room readiness and provide coverage to ensure continuity of operations

  • Provide basic administrative and technical support to departmental leaders and teams

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine administrative and technical issues

  • Adhere to departmental policies, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements

Performance Expectations

 

At 3 Months

  • Independently performs core job responsibilities

  • Meets established response time and coverage standards

At 6 Months

  • Demonstrates consistent accuracy, reliability, and effective communication

  • Provides dependable weekend coverage

  • Begins contributing to process improvement initiatives

At 12 Months

  • Recognized as a trusted and dependable team member

  • Consistently demonstrates highquality execution of job duties

  • Actively contributes to workflow optimization and improved patient experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a highvolume environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to remain professional, calm, and clear under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills

  • Proficiency in healthcare electronic systems; Cerner experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 0–3+ years of relevant experience; administrative or healthcare experience preferred

  • Experience working in a complex or fastpaced environment is a plus

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fastpaced clinical setting
