What’s the job about?
As a Family Engagement Specialist, you’ll be the superhero who builds positive relationships with families, empowering them to be active partners in their children’s early learning journey. You’ll create an environment where families feel heard, supported, and inspired to succeed alongside their little ones. This role supports sites in the Western Suburbs, with the home office located in Matteson, IL.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families
- Plan and host fun, family-friendly events and workshops
- Act as a go-to resource for families, offering guidance and support
- Work closely with our Head Start team to ensure children and families are thriving
- Share your creativity and passion to create a welcoming environment for everyone
What we’re looking for:
- A friendly, energetic person who enjoys connecting with others
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help
- Experience working with families and/or children (preferred, but not required)
- A team player who’s ready to bring their ideas and enthusiasm to the table
- An open heart, a positive attitude, and a love for making the world a little brighter
The “Credentials” Fun Part:
- A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, or Psychology
- Two years of experience as a caseworker or similar position
- A genuine desire to connect with families and support their success
- Creativity and problem-solving skills are a must – we want to hear your fresh ideas!
- Bilingual? Even better – bring those language skills and connect with more families!
