Supplier Quality Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Supplier quality engineers are primarily responsible for the supplier quality monitor and non-conformance handling and quality continuous improving. To identify, qualify and continuously improve new and existing suppliers to Coherent. Communicate and cooperate closely with engineering. SCM for new product support. Feedback of quality issues to vendors and ensure permanent resolution through Root Cause Analysis and effective Corrective/Preventative Actions. 

 

 

Qualification & Requirements

 

 

 Education：

Bachelor Degree or above, engineering background, and CET-4. Engineering educational background is preferable  

Requirements: 

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supplier quality management or quality control.

Good understanding of material technique and manufacturing process, material properties and inspection knowledge.

Skill at quality tools, knowledge of sampling scheme, evaluation of raw material. Master material properties and test, mechanic test and environment test.  

Be familiar with ISO9001/TL9000 requirement, audit flow and on-site audit skills. Master common methods of quality improvement.

Good learner and ability to optimize supplier management and continuously improve quality of raw materials.

Experience with problem analysis and resolution
