About this role

Job Description

  • Set up, program, operate, and optimize CNC machines used in the production of precision mechanical components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and 3D models; develop machining programs using CAD/CAM software and perform machine setup.
  • Select, design, and optimize fixtures, cutting tools, and machining parameters to ensure product quality and productivity.
  • Perform dimensional, tolerance, and quality inspections during the production process.
  • Analyze machining defects, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with relevant departments to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in new product development, process trials, and the evaluation of new materials, cutting tools, and suppliers.
  • Analyze production losses, optimize cycle time, improve equipment efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, work instructions, operating standards, and quality records.
  • Provide technical training and support to CNC operators while promoting continuous improvement, 6S, and workplace safety activities.

 

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in CNC machining, precision machining, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, such as Mastercam or equivalent, with hands-on CNC programming experience.
  • Experience in operating or setting up 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Ability to understand and apply GD&T, engineering tolerances, measurement methods, and quality control principles in precision machining.
  • Knowledge of metallic, non-metallic, ceramic, or composite materials is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out process improvement activities.
  • Experience with EDM, grinding, lapping, laser machining, or other precision manufacturing technologies is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents in English and work effectively in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
