About this role

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain tester cleanliness by removing dust to prevent contamination on TOSA/ROSA modules.
  • Install and measure grounding systems to protect products from ESD (Electrostatic Discharge).
  • Inspect and test RCBO functionality to ensure proper tripping during electrical abnormalities.
  • Verify KLC temperature control accuracy using a calibrator.
  • Check UPS battery condition to protect PCs from unexpected power failures.
  • Perform sniffer tests to detect EOS (Electrical Overstress) on test boards.
  • Replace booster tank and OSA/Yokogawa filters according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PM-related issues, including power trips, no power supply, fixture failures, and start-up issues.
  • Measure and calibrate DC power supplies to prevent start-up errors and improve production yield.
  • Inspect test cages for defects that may cause phantom scratches on module shells.
  • Perform 5S activities on testers, including housekeeping, proper equipment alignment, cable management, and tester ID labeling.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities on production testers and equipment.
  • Update the spare parts inventory system by recording the withdrawal of maintenance items.
  • Report equipment abnormalities promptly to minimize impact on testing, yield, quality, safety, and the production environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards while performing maintenance activities in the production area.

 

Job Requirements:

Education:

Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant. 

 

Experience:

At least 1 year as Preventive maintenance/Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, refer by friend, duration of learning or training, etc.

 

 

 

Special Skills:

  • Computer literate on using MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word
  • Has good communication skills both in written and verbal. 
  • Experience in handling, troubleshooting and repair of test equipment such as ATE and Test Handlers or working in semiconductor industries is a big plus.
  • Experience in using measuring equipment such as multimeter, clamp meter, thermometer, etc.
