At IGT, we design and build casino games played by millions of players worldwide. For our studios we’re searching for talented Sound Engineer based in Reno, NV who are passionate about creating audio experiences, designing engaging soundscapes, and bringing games to life through sound design.
What You Will Do
As a Sound Engineer you will be responsible for creating detailed audio specifications, crafting immersive music and sound effects, and providing direction and feedback to ensure exceptional audio experiences.
- Develop detailed audio specifications based on project requirements and creative vision.
- Design and produce high-quality music compositions and sound effects that enhance the overall user experience.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including producers, game designers, developers, and artists to integrate audio seamlessly into projects and drive on-time delivery.
- Provide clear direction and constructive feedback to internal team members and external development partners.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of audio assets and implementation to ensure optimal performance across various platforms and devices.
Qualifications
- 5 years of work experience; 2 years of related experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Audio Designer or similar role in the entertainment, gaming, or multimedia industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing original music compositions, sound design projects, and audio implementation work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard audio software, preferably Logic Pro and Adobe Audition.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location. These factors may result in variation in starting pay. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $120,000– $140,000 annually USD, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is one component of IGT’s total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities.
