Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Drive accurate inventory accounting and valuation processes that directly impact financial reporting.

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and compliant reporting.

  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to improve inventory visibility and control.

  • Analyze inventory cost drivers, variances, and reconciliations to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Contribute to process optimization initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and data accuracy.

  • Support audit readiness by maintaining robust documentation and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record financial transactions accurately in the ERP system in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.

  • Prepare reports and presentations to support financial analysis and reporting.

  • Support supervisors and senior team members on projects and ongoing tasks.

  • Monitor and analyze inventory volume drivers including production settlements, WBS, and internal order allocations.

  • Support allocation cycles and cost flow impacting inventory and cost of goods sold.

  • Execute and support actual costing runs and inventory valuation activities.

  • Analyze purchase price variances (PPV) and production variances, identifying root causes.

  • Process and validate manual inventory postings (goods in transit, accruals, corrections).

  • Perform inventory reconciliations (subledger vs GL) and manage backlog resolution.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies including quantity/value mismatches and negative stock.

  • Support period-end close activities including settlements, variance analysis, and reporting.

  • Ensure proper documentation and support for audit requirements related to inventory.

  • Support allocation cycle governance and closing cockpit activities.

  • Identify and support process improvements in inventory accounting and reporting.

What Makes You the Right Fit?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, inventory accounting, cost accounting, or shared services environments.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial reporting, and inventory processes.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, variances, and process gaps.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

How Would You Stand Out?

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or supply chain finance environments.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory valuation, actual costing, standard costing, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP platforms.
  • Experience with process improvement, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with audit support, compliance controls, and financial governance processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.

The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Food Ingredient business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to CVC Capital Partners.
