Where You’ll Make a Difference

  • Perform microbiological sampling, monitoring, inspections, and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, and finished products
  • Execute microbiological analyses and pass/fail determinations in accordance with established procedures and specifications
  • Conduct confirmatory microbiological testing and investigations for non-conforming results
  • Generate accurate laboratory reports, analytical documentation, records, and data entries to ensure timely and reliable information
  • Prepare microbiological media, reagents, solutions, and laboratory materials while managing laboratory supplies and inventories
  • Ensure proper verification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Lead the daily administration and organization of the Microbiology Laboratory while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards
  • Support environmental monitoring programs and provide microbiological information to internal and external customers
  • Support compliance with food safety, quality, and certification requirements, including HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, ISO 9001, BRCGS, Kosher, Halal, BASC, and SMETA programs

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Engineering, Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in microbiology laboratories, quality control, food safety, or related analytical environments
  • Knowledge of microbiological testing methodologies, laboratory techniques, and environmental monitoring programs
  • Experience interpreting microbiological results and supporting investigations of non-conforming outcomes
  • Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety systems
  • Knowledge of HACCP, environmental monitoring, allergen control, and food defense principles
  • Experience managing laboratory documentation, records, and analytical reporting
  • Intermediate English proficiency preferred
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, analytical thinking, organization, and communication skills
