As an Environmental Health & Safety Regional Coordinator you will engage leaders at every level and build trust through strong partnerships. You will help inspire people across diverse cultures to engage in workplace safety as a shared responsibility. You will partner with business leaders across our European operations, spanning multiple countries and functions, to strengthen our culture of safety and ensure we meet our regulatory obligations.

This is a virtual role, which can be located in the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland or France.

In this role:

  • You will build trusted relationships with leaders across all lines of business, helping them understand and embrace their role in creating safe, healthy workplaces.

  • You will serve as an advisor and collaborative partner for business and site leadership across Europe.

  • You will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance that leaders can act on with confidence.

  • You will develop and facilitate engagement initiatives that make safety visible, relevant, and genuinely owned by the people doing the work.

  • You will engage in root cause analysis and investigations for incidents, sharing learnings and opportunities for improvement with leadership.

Drive Program Excellence Across the Region

  • You will develop, implement, and continuously improve EH+S programs that reflect both IDEXX values and the diverse cultural contexts of our European sites.

  • You will partner with business line leaders to identify, evaluate, and proactively address workplace risk.

  • You will coordinate program reviews and share best practices across regions, contributing to a globally aligned but locally responsive safety approach.

Meet Regulatory Expectations

  • You will maintain current knowledge of European EH+S regulations, including country-specific occupational health and safety, environmental, and labor law requirements.

  • You will help to manage compliance and timely reporting and submissions to relevant governing authorities across the region.

What you need to succeed:

  • A university degree in Occupational Health + Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

  • Fluency in French and English is essential; proficiency in additional European languages is a meaningful advantage.

  • Knowledge and experience in navigating current European EH+S regulations.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across levels of organizational leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing operational leaders.

  • A track record of translating regulatory complexity into practical, people-centered programs.
