About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part-Time Pathology Courier Driver to join our Veterinary Diagnostics team in Hamilton, New Zealand. Working approximately 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 6:30pm to 12:30am, you will play a key role in supporting our veterinary clients by transporting diagnostic samples between Hamilton and Auckland. As part of our Pathology Courier team, you will be the face of IDEXX for many of our clients, providing exceptional service while ensuring samples are delivered safely and on time for testing.

As a Pathology Courier Driver, you are a vital link in the diagnostic process. You help ensure veterinary samples reach our laboratory quickly and safely, enabling veterinarians to make timely and informed decisions about animal health. Your reliability, professionalism, and commitment to customer service directly contribute to the quality of care provided to pets and livestock across New Zealand.
In this role:
You will drive the Hamilton to Auckland to Hamilton route each evening, collecting and transporting pathology samples.
You will collect pathology samples from veterinary clinics across the Hamilton and Auckland regions.
You will ensure samples are transported safely, accurately, and within required timeframes.
You will provide outstanding customer service and build positive relationships with veterinary clients.
You will represent IDEXX professionally as a key point of contact for our customers.
You will manage collection schedules efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You will communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding collection and delivery requirements.
You will complete basic administrative and tracking tasks using computer systems.
You will follow all safety, quality, and transportation procedures.
What you need to succeed:
You will hold a current Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
You will have a clean driving history and a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
You will be available to work evening shifts Monday to Friday from 6:30pm to 12:30am.
You will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
You will have a professional presentation and positive attitude.
You will possess excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
You will be comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
You will have basic computer skills.
Previous courier, logistics, driving, or customer-facing experience will be highly regarded.
