Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Valid teaching license/certification in Physical Education (K-12 or relevant age groups) from a recognized US state or country of origin.
Master's degree in a relevant educational field is highly desirable.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience as a Physical Education Teacher in an educational setting.
Demonstrated experience teaching the American curriculum, ideally within an international school environment.
Proven ability to teach and manage diverse groups of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Experience in coaching school sports teams or leading extracurricular physical activities is highly valued.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in designing, implementing, and assessing engaging, age-appropriate PE lessons and units aligned with learning outcomes.
Strong understanding of formative and summative assessment methodologies specific to physical education.
Ability to effectively integrate technology into PE instruction (e.g., fitness apps, interactive tools).
Competence in managing and maintaining PE equipment and facilities, ensuring student safety.
Knowledge of health and safety protocols specific to physical education and sports activities.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong classroom management and behavior management techniques, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to teaching and professional growth.

Knowledge of Curriculum:
Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with American Physical Education standards, learning outcomes, and best practices (e.g., SHAPE America National Standards for K-12 Physical Education, US state-specific PE frameworks).
Ability to develop and deliver a sequential, comprehensive PE program that aligns with American curriculum philosophies and fosters holistic student development across all grade levels.
Familiarity with differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse physical and developmental needs of students within an American curriculum context.
UAE-Specific Requirements:
Must meet all professional licensing and qualification equivalency requirements set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
Ability to successfully obtain and maintain ADEK teacher licensing and professional registration.
Commitment to adhering to all UAE cultural norms, laws, and educational regulations.
Undergo and pass all required background checks, security clearances, and medical examinations mandated by UAE authorities.
