International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah branch is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class Teacher to join our dedicated Early Years and Cycle 1 team. We are committed to providing an outstanding British curriculum education in a nurturing and dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students in KG/Cycle 1, in accordance with the British curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of students.
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a directly related subject.
  • A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK.
  • Valid teaching license or certification from your country of origin.
  • Relevant First Aid certification is desirable.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience specifically within KG or Cycle 1 (EYFS/Key Stage 1) in a British curriculum school.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching children aged 3-7 years.
  • Prior experience in an international school setting is a distinct advantage.

Curriculum Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge and successful practical experience of implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
  • Thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for England (Key Stage 1) learning objectives, pedagogical approaches, and assessment methodologies.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver creative and rigorous lessons aligned with British curriculum standards.

UAE-Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully obtain ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) teacher licensing and approvals upon appointment.
  • Compliance with all ADEK policies, regulations, and guidelines related to school operations, curriculum delivery, and safeguarding.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary UAE visa and employment permits.
  • Respect for local culture, customs, and traditions within the UAE.
