Accountant – Russian Speaking

International Community Schools (ICS), a leading group of schools with 6 branches in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the financial operations of our schools in Abu Dhabi and coordinate closely with our Kazakhstan branch. Therefore, fluency in Russian is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
  
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reports.
  
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment processes.
  
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
  
• Coordinate financial information and documentation between the UAE and Kazakhstan teams.
  
• Communicate effectively with Russian-speaking colleagues and stakeholders in Kazakhstan.
  
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  
• Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
  
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• Relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.
  
• Fluency in Russian is mandatory.
  
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively across different locations and teams.
  
• Previous experience in the education/school sector in the UAE will be an advantage.
  
• Candidates currently based in the UAE or with relevant UAE experience will be preferred.
