Overview

Job Purpose 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QC Auditor to join our team. As a QC Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our client's origination operations adhere to the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Audit mortgage loan files for compliance with state/federal regulations, adherence to agency underwriting requirements, industry underwriting standards, and/or client requirements.
  • Complete Loan Audit Report in professional manner, using correct grammar and ensuring wording for all findings are clear and easy to understand.
  • Be open and accepting of feedback and make changes within an acceptable time frame to your work/behavior based on the feedback given.
  • E-mail daily production numbers to management daily.
  • Follow company policies and procedures; ensure work is completed accurately and timely.
  • Meet daily file review quota of 6 files in an 8 hour day with quality.
  • Work with Credit Audit Manager to ensure all audit goals are met.
  • Work with Credit Audit Manager to ensure Key Performance Measures are met.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Must have mortgage origination underwriting experience
  • 10+ years of mortgage origination underwriting experience underwriting to FNMA, Freddie Mac, VA, FHA and/or USDA guidelines as well as non-QM/non-conforming investor guidelines
  • 10 Years Residential Mortgage Experience
  • Proven Working Knowledge of Mortgage Loan Fraud Detection and Prevention Policies and Procedures
  • Proven Working Knowledge of all Current Residential Mortgage Compliance Requirements- RESPA, TILA, Regulation B, AML/BSA, Fair Lending, Dodd/Frank and all other applicable requirements on a State and Federal Level
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of mortgage loan files
  • Demonstrate consistent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word & Excel & other PC applications
