iCapital is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic International Tax Specialist to join our Corporate Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the tax strategy and compliance framework as iCapital continues to scale globally. The individual’s impact will resonate across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax efficiency for our expanding operations. This role will involve responsibilities across corporate and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing, and strategic tax planning for EMEA and APAC regions, as well as ad hoc projects and analyses. In addition, this person will take ownership of tax provisions for international audits and manage tax implications related to equity compensation programs.
Responsibilities
Global Tax Oversight
- Manage and oversee corporate and indirect tax compliance across EMEA and APAC jurisdictions.
- Provide expert guidance on tax implications for cross-border transactions and business expansions.
- Review legal agreements and apply relevant tax considerations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on global operations.
- Ownership of tax provisions for international audits and manage tax implications related to equity compensation programs.
Transfer Pricing
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies aligned with OECD guidelines.
- Prepare documentation and support audits related to intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to ensure proper implementation of transfer pricing strategies.
Strategic Tax Planning
- Advise on tax-efficient structures for global operations.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks across jurisdictions.
- Implement robust internal controls and improve documentation for tax processes.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with Finance leadership, external advisors, and tax authorities.
- Deliver insightful reporting and analyses to support management decision-making.
- Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives within the tax function.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 10 years in corporate and indirect tax roles with multinational exposure, preferably in the financial sector.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of EMEA and APAC tax frameworks and transfer pricing regulation as well as with FATCA and CRS reporting requirements.
Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field; professional tax qualification preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Familiarity with GAAP reporting and global tax technology platforms.
- Experience managing large data sets and implementing checks and balances.
- Familiar with alternative investments or structured investments preferred but not required
