About the Role

iCapital is looking for an Assistant Vice President/Vice President to join its Fund Finance team in Singapore. This role is hands-on, with operational responsibility for servicing hedge fund, private equity fund-of-funds, and access fund vehicles (the “Funds”) in conjunction with third-party administrators. This position will manage fund accounting and financial reporting to investors, including subscriptions and redemptions for hedge funds, capital calls and distributions for private equity funds, partner capital statements, contract notes, and other reporting. This role will also be responsible for driving improvement initiatives and building relationships with clients in relation to operational matters.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance processes and procedures for servicing the Funds. Partner closely with the management team to enhance and automate key processes, and develop and enhance product, management, and other reporting, targeting both efficiency and scale.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of private equity and hedge fund feeder funds.
  • Review feeder fund draft documents (LPA/PPM) as well as underlying fund operational questionnaires prior to fund launch. Provide feedback to internal legal or fund origination teams on any matters that should be considered from a fund finance perspective. Identify risk areas.
  • Review monthly and/or quarterly feeder fund NAV and partners’ capital account statements issued by the team, and track KPIs.
  • Review and sign off on capital call and distribution cash analyses, investor allocation files, and notices prepared by third-party administrators and Associate or Assistant Vice President members of the Fund Finance team.
  • Monitor cash positions, investment liquidity, reconciliations, and cash reserves.
  • Build and maintain relationships with underlying fund managers, fund administrators, custodians, and distributors. Act as a point of contact for operational matters and provide oversight of service providers/vendors.
  • Work closely with Investor Relations, Product, Client Services, Legal and Compliance, Technology, Sales, and Marketing teams to support fund operations, new fund launches, and any ad hoc operational queries.
  • Act as a senior member of the Fund Finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and review for more junior team members.
  • Participate in management-level meetings internally and externally.
  • Fulfill ad hoc tasks as required by the team and different parts of the organization.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills, with proven experience using AI or other tools to deliver significant process improvements and time savings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or another business-related or technical field.
  • 10–15 years of fund management, fund accounting, or operations experience, with a focus on alternatives, including hedge funds and private equity.
  • Proven ability to multitask and work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; passion for client service; and confidence with strong leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines.
  • Eager to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment.
  • Passion for the application of innovative technology.
  • Creative thinker.
