About the Role

The Strategic Pricing Manager leads pricing and packaging strategy for Hyland, translating market insights, competitive intelligence, customer value perception, and financial analysis into recommendations that shape how the business prices and packages its offerings. This role partners closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, Go-to-Market, Sales, and Deal Desk, and builds working relationships with VP- and SVP-level stakeholders to align on direction and gain support for pricing decisions. As an individual contributor, the Strategic Pricing Manager operates as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for their line of business, crafting new business models, shaping pricing and packaging for both new and existing offerings, and driving overall monetization across the portfolio.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Develop and optimize long-term pricing and packaging strategy for Hyland, working across Product Management, Product Marketing, Go-to-Market, Sales, and Deal Desk; craft new business models and pricing constructs that open up additional monetization opportunities for the line of business
  • Define pricing and packaging strategy for new offerings, from initial concept through launch; proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the existing portfolio by combining market, competitive, customer, and stakeholder research
  • Drive overall monetization for the line of business by connecting pricing decisions to revenue growth, margin performance, and long-term portfolio health
  • Build data-driven recommendations using structured problem-solving: form hypotheses, analyze supporting data, validate assumptions, and land on a clear, well-supported recommendation
  • Communicate pricing concepts and recommendations clearly to VP, SVP, and executive-level leadership; partner with cross-functional teams to put approved recommendations into practice
  • Design and lead qualitative and quantitative research, including sales and customer input, to test pricing and packaging hypotheses and inform strategic direction

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in pricing strategy, strategic finance, product strategy, or a related analytical discipline
  • Strong analytical, strategic, communication, and organizational skills; strong instincts for quantitative and qualitative analysis with the ability to look past the numbers to drive sound, well-supported decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders including VPs and SVPs, and to work effectively with leaders at all levels; capable of communicating concepts clearly and credibly to multiple audiences including executive leadership
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines; able to identify and develop solutions to complex, cross-departmental problems from both a strategic and operational perspective
  • Intellectually curious, creative strategic thinker energized by complex, ambiguous challenges; comfortable prioritizing competing demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
