With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Camarillo! This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for multi-state entities via the payroll system (ADP) with oversight from the Payroll Manager. Ensures payroll increases and deductions are processed accurately and timely, partnering with applicable HR team members and their respective areas of ownership. Processes calculation and final checks for exiting employees, in addition to other manual checks as needed. Understands company, department and cost center relationships from an accounting perspective and applies such relationships to the payroll system.
  • Assists with international payroll (ADP Global Streamline Payroll Platform and PEO Firms) and integrates international employees onto the platform. On an on-going basis, assist the ADP Streamline Partners and troubleshoots any outlying situations that need to be resolved.
  • Assists in preparing various statistical summaries and reports for management utilizing Excel & payroll system. Assists with special ad-hoc reports, department and compliance audits as needed.
  • Assists in resolving time and attendance issues.  Communicates with Managers to resolve in a timely manner
  • Establishes relationships with department managers who are key partners (i.e., Accounting, Tax, Treasury, etc.), ensuring clear understanding of needs, required processes and reports; identifies any issues in processes among departments and coordinates and implements solutions.
  • Ensures legal compliance with all applicable international, national, local, state, and federal laws and regulations; maintains records and related payroll files.
  • Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. 
  • Handles various other duties as delegated by Payroll Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience processing payroll in a lead capacity required
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience working with accounting in a corporate environment required
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll processing system required
  • Experience with General Ledgers plus
  • Knowledge of multi-state and international payroll preferred
  • Human Resources experience in a corporate environment preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in the English language required; bilingual in verbal and written Spanish preferred

Salary Range (applicable to California):

$28.00 - $31.00 per hour
