The HR Specialist supports the Human Resources team by managing recruitment activities, onboarding processes, and general HR administrative tasks. This role ensures smooth operations and a positive experience for candidates and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
Source candidates through job boards and local community job placement services.
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Maintain candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
Assist with background checks, reference checks, and offer letters.
Onboarding & Employee Support
Facilitate new hire onboarding and ensure completion of all required documentation.
Coordinate orientation sessions and provide necessary resources to new employees.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies.
HR Administration
Support HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Assist in organizing HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
Highlights Benefit Offerings to new hires and assists with Open Enrollment
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Maintaining accurate records of uniform inventory and employee allocations.
Compliance & Process Improvement
Ensure adherence to labor laws and company regulations.
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment and HR processes for efficiency.
Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software preferred
• Prior experience in recruiting or HR coordination is a plus
