Why this is an exciting opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable and modern technology solutions in a regulated financial services environment.

You will partner with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to shape architecture, guide delivery and uplift platform maturity.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex initiatives and platform modernisation

• Produce clear architecture artefacts including solution designs, ADRs and diagrams

• Design cloud-native solutions on AWS and/or GCP with strong security and cost awareness

• Apply modern patterns such as microservices, API-first and event-driven architectures

• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and regulatory requirements

• Contribute to data, analytics and responsible AI design

• Support delivery in agile and scaled agile environments

• Contribute to enterprise architecture standards and guardrails

What you bring

You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.

Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions

• Strong hands-on architectural experience across applications, data, security and cloud

• Proven experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud-native services

• Experience with microservices, APIs and event-driven architectures

• Solid understanding of identity and access management including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC

• Strong understanding of security, compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders

• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with platform or application modernisation programmes

• Strong background in data platforms, analytics and data governance

• Experience applying AI responsibly in regulated environments

• AWS and/or GCP Architect certification

• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification

• FinOps or relevant security or data certifications
