Job Description:

  • Oversee the daily running of the Corporate Action team, managing the life cycle of all events such as Rights Issues, stock splits, spin-offs, Redemptions, Bonus Issues, conversions, takeovers, IPO/Placings, Proxy voting etc. and ensuring all clients are informed ahead of deadlines
  • Ensuring adequate controls are in place to handle responses and queries from all retail clients and carry out their instructions accordingly
  • Accurately entering and maintaining records on internal systems
  • Preparation of Tax return & reconciliation of US income for filing annual US tax return to the IRS
  • Drafting and continual updating of procedures including ongoing ownership of accuracy
  • Challenge existing processes and recommend changes resulting in improved service quality, process efficiency and reduction in risk
  • Participation in platform transformation projects, drive and take part in UAT and system migration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with relevant industry experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in corporate action, experience and knowledge of US market is a plus
  • Must work well in a team and also exhibit strong leadership capabilities in order to help drive solutions to complex issues
  • Attention to detail while seeing the bigger picture and managing competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with and cultivate effective relationships with key stakeholders, including at senior levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to make informed autonomous decisions whilst delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Desire to continually learn and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to excellence with a high level of integrity
  • Good leadership skills necessary for assisting with the management of staff to ensure day to day efficiency and control of corporate actions processing
  • Analytical thinker with problem solving skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Spoken & Written Cantonese and Mandarin)
