For AMETEK Denmark A/S in Allerød, HR navigator is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager & Metrologist with European responsibility. You will own the Quality Management System at the manufacturing site in Denmark and act as the key quality and metrology expert across selected European STC operations. The Allerød site is a full-scope manufacturing operation covering product development, manufacturing, purchasing, supplier quality, calibration laboratory operations, and customer quality.
The organization:
You will join an international, technology-driven organization where quality and metrology are business-critical. The STC site in Denmark is the main focus of the role, requiring a strong hands-on presence. You will be responsible for the ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management Systems and their continued development in support of the site's strategy.
The role also includes supporting the Quality Management System at the STC manufacturing site in Serbia and the UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for STC field-service activities in Germany, France, the UK, and Denmark.
You will report directly to the STC Global Quality Director in the US, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the DVP EMEA Operations, based at the STC site in Denmark.
The position:
You will own and continuously improve the Quality Management Systems, act as the primary ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 expert for Denmark and serve as the European subject-matter expert for ISO/IEC 17025.
Key responsibilities include:
Owning and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
Ensuring ISO 9001 compliance across European STC sites
Maintaining and growing ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation scopes, including managing accreditation assessments and external audits
Serving as the European subject-matter expert for ISO/IEC 17025 and supporting accreditation initiatives across the region
Planning audits, driving CAPAs, and ensuring timely closure of non-conformities
Overseeing calibration and metrology programs, providing hands-on support as needed
Tracking quality metrics and trends across complaints, training, and continuous improvement activities
Leading projects to introduce new accredited methods, capabilities, and services aligned with business and customer needs
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, After-Sales-Service, Purchasing, and Global Quality to ensure consistent standards, successful audits, and ongoing continuous improvement.
The candidate:
Expectations:
Have a BSc in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field
Bring 5+ years as a Quality Manager with end-to-end QMS responsibility
Have solid manufacturing experience, ideally within instrumentation, test & measurement, or calibration
Demonstrate hands-on ISO/IEC 17025 expertise and strong practical knowledge of ISO 9001
Have experience with audits, CAPAs, supplier, manufacturing, and customer quality
Be a confident quality authority and trusted advisor across functions
Additional qualifications:
Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken)
Strong analytical and communication skills with auditors and technical stakeholders
Six Sigma or other structured continuous improvement experience is an advantage
