PRE-SCHOOL ASSISTANT
First Flight Creche and Montessori are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified pre-school assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. Based in the coastal setting of Furbo, 10km from Galway City, the role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm/9am - 6pm.
Overall Purpose of Job:
The pre-school assistant will participate in the delivery of the daily room requirements for 3.5 - 5year olds, whilst working in accordance to company policies and practices at all times. Must be flexible towards working with other age groups, if required.
Requirements:
Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare
Minimum 1 year work experience
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Complete Garda Vetting
Current First Aid certification desirable

Duties & Responsibilities include:
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's development using Aistear & Siolta guidelines
To support children’s emotional, social and cognitive development
Conduct observations of children under the direction of the room leader
Monitor and record children's progress
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the childcare setting
To be flexible with regards working in a different room, if necessary.
Salary dependant on qualification & experience, starting at €31,200
Salary based on experience and qualifications.
Own transport desirable due to location, though the creche is on a bus route.
