Job DetailsJob Location: Apollo Freight LAX - Los Angeles, CA 90045Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 Salary/yearWe are seeking an experienced, results-driven Air Freight Imports & Warehouse Distribution Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of air import operations and warehouse distribution activities. This leadership role is responsible for managing the end-to-end import process, ensuring efficient cargo handling, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and timely distribution of customer shipments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in international air freight, warehouse operations, team leadership, and customer service while driving operational excellence and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management: Oversee daily air freight import operations from cargo arrival through customs clearance, warehouse processing, and final distribution.
Warehouse & Distribution: Manage receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, storage, and outbound shipments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop air import and warehouse staff while promoting accountability, productivity, and teamwork.
Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for key customer issues, ensuring timely communication and high service levels.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, TSA, FDA, USDA (when applicable), OSHA, and company policies.
Inventory & Quality Control: Maintain inventory accuracy, monitor cargo handling procedures, and ensure product integrity.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, prepare operational reports, and drive continuous improvement across import and warehouse operations.
Financial Oversight: Assist with budgeting, cost control, and vendor management to support operational and financial goals.
Safety Leadership: Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in air freight imports, warehouse operations, and logistics management.
Strong knowledge of international air freight, U.S. Customs procedures, CBP regulations, TSA requirements, FDA, and USDA compliance.
Experience managing warehouse distribution, inventory control, and transportation operations.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional logistics teams.
Proficiency in CargoWise, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines.
