Non-Conformance Lead
Sizewell C


Location: Suffolk, with hybrid working (3 days per week on site) and occasional travel to other company offices as required.
Contract: Permanent, full-time. 
Salary: £56,000 - £65,000 dependant on experience, plus benefits 
Benefits include: 
Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays. 
Bonus: 5% annual bonus. (this depends on job level)
Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution 15% employer contribution. 
Closing Date: 31st August 2026


About the Role


The Non-Conformance Lead plays a key role within the Quality team, ensuring the effective management and continuous improvement of the project's non-conformance process.


Working across programmes, engineering teams and supply chain partners, you will oversee the systems, governance, reporting and processes that support the timely resolution of quality issues. You'll collaborate with a range of technical and project stakeholders to drive consistency, compliance and performance. The role is critical in supporting project delivery, regulatory requirements and quality excellence across Sizewell C.


Key Responsibilities


Lead the development and continuous improvement of non-conformance management processes and governance.
Drive initiatives that improve NCR performance, reduce backlogs and support timely closure.
Oversee the quarantine and Red Work processes, ensuring risks are effectively managed and issues are progressed to resolution.
Partner with programme, engineering, supply chain and IT teams to improve systems and ways of working.
Establish and chair governance forums and quality review panels, providing clear direction and oversight.
Monitor performance trends and deliver meaningful reporting to stakeholders and regulators.
Ensure NCR processes and requirements are effectively implemented across the supply chain.
Develop and share best practice through training, guidance, benchmarking and lessons learned.
 

What You'll Bring


Experience leading or managing quality or non-conformance processes within major projects.
Considerable knowledge and experience of managing non-conformances (NCRs) and engineering concessions.
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles across major projects.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443 or similar quality management standards.
Experience implementing business processes, systems or reporting tools within a major project environment.
Proven leadership experience within a quality assurance/control environment in the nuclear or another relevant safety-critical industry.
Confident influencing and engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving and communication skills.
Excellent training development and delivery skills.
A relevant qualification in Quality, Engineering or Project Management.
 

Desirable


Knowledge of NCR tools, particularly Dassault 3DX/ITEROP.
Knowledge and understanding of the nuclear sector, ideally new build and Nuclear Site Licence conditions.
Experience in configuration management processes, systems and controls.
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Recognised Quality, Engineering or Project Management training, accreditation or professional affiliation.
