Production Lead

Job Purpose

 

Production Lead is responsible for oversee the production process, ensuring that safety requirement in place and operations are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining quality standards, develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize production capacity.

Key Responsibilities

 

  1-Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
  • Ensure full compliance with Lafarge safety standards and promote safety culture and safe practices among the entire work
  • force.
  • Ensure all BP employees are operating in a safe working environment.
  • Provide monthly reporting and statistics regarding safety performance and incidents.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors following Health Safety Rules.
  • Conduct VPC and direct other key members in the company to do the same.
  • Identify people with potential to assume broader safety responsibility.
  • Submit the safety figures on monthly basis to the company and discuss areas of improvement.
  • Lead investigations in major safety incidents.
  • Review investigation reports on safety violation incidents and decide on additional actions to be taken.
  • Assume key responsibility for developing H&S improvement plan and relevant action plans.
  • Follow HSIP of the plant and follow the progress.
  • Stopping Unsafe act.
  • Ensure that all employees trained.
  • Attending all safety Meeting
  • Ensure that all employees follow SWI.
  • Achieve Annual Health and safety personal objective.

 

 

 

2-Functional:

  • Accountable for developing and executing the overall operations plan and master production schedule to support the organization's strategic objectives and business requirements.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of internal and external material supply, ensuring the development of short, medium, and long-term production plans through effective resource allocation, forecasting, estimation, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report operational performance, productivity levels, material supply status, and production progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including LCE, Purchasing, Sourcing, Production, Laboratory, and Commercial functions, to align production plans.
  • Develop and continuously improve operational procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, consistency, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of operational plans to support monthly financial closing activities and business reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and report End of Month operations and planning reports, operational challenges, improvement initiatives, and KPI achievements.
  • Facilitate and lead commercial and operational planning meetings to review forecasts, evaluate performance, and update production schedules as required.
  • Ensure Alternative Fuel (AF) materials comply with established quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor stockpiles in accordance with safety requirements, including temperature monitoring, aeration practices, and safe-distance controls.
  • Monitor industrial waste acceptance and rejection criteria while ensuring compliance with safe material handling procedures.
  • Review system availability through the verification and completion of daily operational checklists.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deviations in operational KPIs and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Report and maintain records of safety, production, and operational KPIs, while auditing traffic management activities on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and other required inputs, while monitoring inventory levels on a daily basis.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the operations team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting talent development initiatives.
  • Optimize the utilization of mobile equipment to support operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage Alternative Fuel (AF) blending and mixing activities prior to kiln feeding to ensure compliance with approved mix standards.

 

Education

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

     Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering / Science

 

Technical Skills:

  • Sap user
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Analytical Skills
  • Familiar with RDF & Biomass Shredders
  • Heavy Mobile Equipment background
  • Extensive knowledge of effective health and safety
  • Strategy planning experience
  • Budget management

 

Experience: 

  • 5 – 7 years of operational experience with minimum 4 years in Kiln Area AF.
  • Cement Background or waste management companies
  • Industrial experience in waste treatment operations or equivalent.
