The opportunity

At our Competence Center “Power Converter Solutions”, we are at the forefront of developing, manufacturing, installing, and commissioning high-power electronic converters for applications such as STATCOM, rail power supply systems, hydro pumped storage systems and grid interconnections.

Our solutions play a key role in enabling the integration of renewable energy into modern power grids while improving overall system efficiency.

To strengthen our Control Engineering team, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Senior Project Control Engineer with a strong interest in power electronics and control systems.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Plan and execute control engineering aspects of projects, including hardware and software concepts, specifications, and documentation

  • Coordinate technical interfaces between customers, sub-suppliers, and internal teams

  • Define and evaluate hardware interfaces, including electrical components and design reviews

  • Drive conceptual design, development and support in implementation of control software and testing on real-time simulation platforms

  • Perform commissioning, testing, and customer training on-site

  • Provide technical support during project execution and after delivery

  • Support the sales team in the preparation of technical concepts and tender documentation

  • Collaborate closely with control, system, and mechanical engineering teams as well as project management

Your background

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s, from a university or university of applied sciences)

  • Min. 5 years of relevant working experience

  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB / Simulink is essential, with structed text programming and Hidraw as added advantage

  • Strong knowledge of process and power electronics control and software design (e.g. OLC, CLC, Protection, HMI)

  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3) is a plus

  • Initial experience in testing, commissioning, or applied engineering is an advantage

  • Willingness to travel globally for commissioning assignments (approx. 20% of working time)

  • Fluency in English and German
