The TestEquity Environmental Chamber Engineer designs, operates, maintains, and tests specialized equipment that simulates extreme environmental conditions like temperature, humidity.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:

System Design: Develop, modify, and optimize refrigeration, heating, electrical, and control systems for TEQ environmental test chambers.
Maintenance & Calibration: Support our OEM manufacturers by performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical failures, and calibrate sensors to ensure testing accuracy.
Test Execution: Program and run profiles on (e.g., thermal cycling, steady-state humidity) according to international standards.
Data Analysis: Monitor chamber performance, compile test data, and draft technical evaluation reports for our OEM manufacturers.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment complies with occupational safety standards, pressure vessel regulations, and environmental laws regarding refrigerants.

QualificationsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and HMI software.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and blueprints.
Familiarity with data acquisition (DAQ) hardware and software

Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience working with industrial ovens, environmental chambers, or complex HVAC/R systems.
