Senior Systems Engineer - Microsoft Endpoint Management

 

Location: Brentwood, TN | Hybrid - 2-3 days/wk in office - Brentwood, TN

Travel requirements: Less than 10%

 

Summary:

This position is responsible for contributing to and performing tasks within assigned ITS departmental areas in support of Lifepoint’s Operating Systems, Infrastructure, and middleware, and which meet ITS/ Business expectations, and Customer Service Level Agreements. Serves on projects that require the department’s involvement. Provides departmental education and guidance to less experienced team members.

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage and support Microsoft Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) and Microsoft Intune environments to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient endpoint management.
  • Design, implement, and maintain operating system deployment (OSD) solutions for Windows 11 devices.
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot task sequences, application deployments, software distribution, and operating system upgrades.
  • Manage endpoint lifecycle activities, including imaging, driver management, application packaging, patching, and deployment automation.
  • Support enterprise migration initiatives and technology modernization projects.
  • Monitor system performance, identify root causes of technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and processes that improve endpoint management and user experience.
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation and provide advanced technical troubleshooting as needed.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote adherence to established operational and security standards.

 

Qualifications - External

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience required.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr/SCCM) in a large enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management solutions.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Operating System Deployment (OSD)
    • Windows image (WIM) management
    • Application packaging and deployment
    • Task sequence development and troubleshooting
    • Driver management across multiple hardware platforms
    • Windows 11 deployment and lifecycle management
    • Software update and security patch management
    • Distribution Point (DP) and Management Point (MP) administration
  • Experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise endpoint infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates a team-first mindset, consistently contributing to a positive culture, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Demonstrates a service-oriented mindset and willingness to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the broader technology environment, regardless of functional ownership.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, including Autopilot.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT).
  • Experience with WMI, automation frameworks, and endpoint provisioning.
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls, client/server communications, and content distribution.
  • Microsoft certifications related to Endpoint Management, Intune, or Configuration Manager preferred
