How you'll contribute:

 

An Assessment Lead is who excels in this role:

 

  • Facilitates response to request for services, including the initial response, the assessment and referral process, the designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services and appropriate follow up activity
  • Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documenting patient symptomology, functioning, needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination
  • Demonstrates excellent customer serviced skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA
  • Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per-certification with insurance companies
  • Ensures appropriate staffing for shift
  • Minimizes use of overtime
  • Assists in monitoring attendance
  • Educates and coaches staff and acts as a point person for clinical decisions
  • Reports all issues and incidents to the Director of appropriately
  • Ensures staff has completed all needed documentation, call logging, insurance calls, and additional tasks prior to the end of shift

 

 

What we're looking for

 

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or equivalent (required) or an Associate’s degree in Nursing (required). Additional requirements include:

 

  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills

  • Current Clinical, Social Work or RN license as required by state regulations

  • CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire
