High Concrete Group LLC is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team on 1st Shift!

This will be an 6AM start with some flexibility, and occasional weekends. We do not have set end times - work until the work is done.

The Maintenance Mechanic at High Concrete in Springboro, Ohio will perform a wide range of plant maintenance activities utilizing a variety of tools and skills. Performs equipment installation, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks using equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics. Accountable to meet the above responsibilities while insuring conformance to safety and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible to retain and renew all certifications required for Maintenance Mechanic A (and Plant Maintenance Mechanic B ) as listed within both the job description and related skills matrix.
  • Cleans, inspects, makes adjustments, and performs other plant maintenance tasks as required or scheduled.
  • Responds to emergency equipment breakdowns and makes necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Has extensive knowledge of plant equipment operations and is able to read and understand equipment literature (i.e. OEM manuals, diagrams and schematics, recalls, and tech bulletins, etc.).
  • Performs and assists with preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of plant equipment as required. Equipment may include but is not limited to the following: air compressors, welding systems, cranes, mobile equipment, CNC equipment, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, motors, pumps, controls, HVAC, mixers, conveyors, etc.
  • Complete and maintain inspection reports, fill out equipment logs, execute preventative and corrective maintenance reports, document materials usage, maintain time entries, etc. which may include computerized maintenance records and paper records.
  • Detects and reports improper operation, defective materials and unsafe conditions. Maintains equipment, storage, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follows all company, local, state, and federal safety rules and regulations.
  • Commits to the continuous improvement process and serves as a role model.
  • Maintains an understanding/working knowledge of the HCG evacuation plans/procedures.
  • Adheres to Company policies pertaining to attendance and tardiness
  • Performs other duties as requested or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.

Experience, Training and/or Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Trade school completion required (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years of plant maintenance experience required (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Basic math and ability to interpret manuals, drawings and schematics required.
  • Basic computer skills and experience required
  • Basic SAP knowledge preferred.

Licenses, Certificates or Registrations as required:

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Trade school completion required (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Master Trade license preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Universal refrigerant certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
  • 10 Hour OSHA course required
  • 30 Hour OSHA course preferred
  • First Aid/CPR Certification, preferred
