Overview

THE ROLE: POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:The Team Leader, Manufacturing is responsible for leading operators through their daily tasks and ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with company policy and procedure. The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of up to 25 employees, making sure they are trained, adhering to company policies, working safely and achieving departmental standards and goals. This is a working lead position and will work side by side with operators in production.

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

•   Experience in manufacturing operations and equipment (weighing, staging, and blending operations, blenders, sifters, scales)•   Ability to document on paper and use electronic batch records•   Ability to lead team and coordinate daily work assignments•   Ability to apply basic math skills•   Good teamwork and communication skills (written and verbal)•   Ability to understand, speak, read and write in the English language•   Basic computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel

Experience:•   Up to 1 year previous experience in a GMP manufacturing, Nutraceutical or food production environment•   Experience in filling out batch records and log books•   Experience working/participating in a team based environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: •   Leads a team of up to 25 production workers

Education•   High school diploma or equivalent
