Overview

THE ROLE: Responsible for managing the organization's regulatory compliance framework through the compliance management tool, ensuring timely monitoring, reporting, regulatory change implementation, compliance mapping, and governance oversight. The role drives compliance visibility across the organization, supports regulatory submissions under Direct Selling Rules, ensures timely completion of statutory reporting obligations, and maintains an effective compliance monitoring and escalation mechanism.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 

  • Monitor and report the organization's compliance status through the compliance management tool, ensuring timely tracking and closure of compliance obligations across functions.
  • Review regulatory updates and legislative changes provided by the compliance tool vendor, assess applicability with business stakeholders, and create new compliance requirements within the compliance management tool.
  • Maintain and periodically review the compliance library, including unmapped obligations, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and coverage of all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with business and functional stakeholders to validate compliance ownership, due dates, evidence submissions, and compliance status updates within the compliance tool.
  • Identify overdue, high-risk, and critical compliance obligations and escalate significant compliance gaps or delays to management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Direct Selling Rules and related regulatory requirements by monitoring central and state-level regulatory developments, notifications, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Manage timely submission of undertakings, declarations, and regulatory reports required under Direct Selling regulations and ensure all mandated disclosures and reports are updated on the company website.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely and accurate submission of ASSISSE surveys reporting requirements.
  • Develop compliance dashboards, management reports, and governance updates to provide visibility into compliance performance, risks, and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, compliance records, regulatory assessments, and evidence repositories to support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections. 

 

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM: 

The Enterprises Compliance Governance & Monitoring team serves as a central oversight function that enables proactive regulatory compliance across the organization. The team partners closely with Legal, Finance, HR, Operations, IT, and business functions to monitor evolving regulations, drive accountability, manage compliance risks, and strengthen the company's compliance culture through effective governance and stakeholder engagement

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Individual Contributor role. 
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Leads cross-functional coordination with business stakeholders, compliance owners, compliance tool vendors, legal teams, and external regulatory bodies to ensure effective compliance management and timely regulatory submissions.

 

 

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

Skills

  • Strong understanding of corporate compliance management, regulatory governance, and compliance monitoring frameworks.
  • Experience working with compliance management tools and regulatory change management processes.
  • Ability to understand laws, regulations, and regulatory updates and assess business applicability.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, dashboarding, and data management capabilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate compliance records and audit-ready documentation.
  • Effective risk identification, escalation management, and problem-solving capabilities.

 

Experience: 

  • 7–10 years of experience in Compliance, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Internal Controls, Legal Compliance, or related functions.
  • Experience managing enterprise compliance monitoring and reporting through compliance management systems.
  • Experience conducting regulatory applicability assessments and implementing regulatory changes.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple business functions and managing compliance governance activities.

 

Education: 

Company Secretary (CS) / LL.B. / Master of Business Law (MBL)
